Odyssey logo made by Nova X. I have yet to know where the hell he is.

Click one of the links one the left to submit a review or news or to join. Reading this marquee is bad for your health. :) If you have an old version of Netscape Navigator, you may not see this message scroll across the screen. I really would like you to stop reading this marquee.... DAMN IT! I want you to stop reading this! Go to mWorld or Digitalmzx.net or something! AUGH!! DAMN IT! STOP READING THIS! :) Hentai is good for your eyes. They make you see things more clearly and screw up your vision at the same time. I have no idea how that is possible. Goggles filled with beer gives you a better chance of sleeping with an old woman. This web site can be found if you put "Hentai" as a keyword.

I added WildWeasel's review for the game, "
Ehrgeiz."

Yeah, I'm aware that I'm a bit late with the mp3s converted to gdm. Sorry about that. I haven't had the time to send the ones that I have completed and the ones that I still need to download.

For the first time, someone has been banned in the Odyssey message boards. Please do not go there if you are just going to advertise. This message board is protected from such attacks, just like Digitalmzx's message boards.

If you try to take screen shots under Super MZX, the blending feature will not be shown. Instead, you'll get a pict of what the game looks like under the other MZX versions (251 and 251sx). Damn. Oh well. If anyone can find a way to show the new graphics resolution, let me know.

I added the description for "
A Megazeux Game" in the Projects page. It also has some screen shots.

Unfortunately, Inmate2993 disbands Arctic Fusion after only a year in existence. The reason for this was because of the lack of activities that have plagued the group for months. Such a sad way to go. (Former AF members, click
here...) :D... j/k.

A modified version of Megazeux came out. It has a new graphics setting that shows more colors. Click
here to download it.

Set your computer's date to April 27 today. Tomorrow is the activation of the WINCIH virus. If you are not sure if your computer has this virus, do it.

Today, all requests to convert songs to GDM stop. Sorry, but I do not have the time to download all the songs. I may have to convert the first 4 requests because of my time. The ones that I have finished will be sent starting this weekend.

ZzCrook has joined Odyssey and is making a Megazeux game called.. um.. "A Megazeux Game." It will be filled with many cameos, parodies, and jokes. Look for it soon...

Fawnpug is now the second Vice President of Odyssey. He is now in charge of the non-MZX department.

I was looking around for anime related info when I found this:

Around the time that Sailor Stars was being made, DiC entertainment and Saban were battling for the rights to Sailor Moon. DiC wanted to make the anime a "cartoon" for little girls to watch on Saturday morning, this was bad, but at least it was better than what Saban wanted to do. Saban wanted to get the rights to Sailor Moon and then make it half live action/half animation (original animation, not the Japanese animation). They wanted to redo Sailor Moon in the same way they did with "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers". Luckily for us though, DiC was the one who got the rights.

Ugh....

More games were added to the project's page. Most of them were non-mzx.

Fawnpug's
Rock Paper Scissors Engine was added in the Download page.

Odyssey gets two new members. Laocourn and Noboyuki. Noboyuki submitted his
airship engine and it can be found in the download and projects pages. Laocourn is making a game called PimpQuest, but I am not sure if it will be released under Odyssey.

I added Fawnpug's review for
Ghost in the Shell.

A little error was in the news from yesterday. The automaps were being made in MegaZeux five times faster (which means productivity went up five times), not in the game. Sorry about this. I hope it didn't cause anyone to wonder how it was done.

I cleared all the news in this page and transfered it to the news archive.

April 15, 2001 - Posted by Ryohei

Gemini re-releases the
ASCII RoboWarz 3D. The changes in this new version are:

-Automaps are updated almost 5 times faster.
-Bosses are easier.
-After beating the game in MZXs3x, you can play the mzx2.51 version under MZXs3x.
Another pict was added in the
Fallen Star description page. For anime fans only. :)

The news archives will be up soon. This will be the last message that can be seen in the main page once it's up.

April 14, 2001 - Posted by Ryohei

Another game was added to the projects page. Razza is working on a new game called Labyrinth. The description can be seen by clicking here.

Gemini made his official return yesterday. He is working on ASCII RoboWarz 3D again and has made two more levels since he left.

Ouch... From a recent poll made in Videogames.com, people were asked if they were going to buy an Xbox when it comes out. The responce was that 77% decided not to get one. This includes the people who weren't going to buy it for its price tag and the people who were not planning to buy it at all. Microsoft better make a better impression soon or its Xbox might be in trouble when it is launched with Nintendo's GameCube.

April 13, 2001 - Posted by Ryohei

A screen shot and another character design was added for
Fallen Star.

Today is Friday the 13th. Hope you don't get screwed by bad luck.

Some errors found in the
BattleSuits page have been fixed. The logo taken from the game has been added as well.

If you find any pictures in this web site that do not load, let me know.

April 12, 2001 - Posted by Ryohei

A minor error was corrected in the description for the Forbidden Letter.

Selling out is fun. Apologies to anyone that got annoyed with the Odyssey site being in the news of a few MZX community pages. :)

I added
ZeuxWorld in the links page and the important links on the left bar.

April 11, 2001 - Posted by Ryohei

I uploaded a copy of Screen Thief for DOS for those who want to take screen shots of their games in MZX and ZZT. I'm sure that would answer the question, "How did you get screen shots of your games?"

The Fobidden Letter now has a description in the Projects page. Click
here to see it.

So, ok. Not everyone has Spring Break. Some people already had it (damn you) and some people didn't have it yet (ha ha!) I am having my break right now, so :P.

I corrected some minor errors in the projects page. Not much of a big deal, of course.

I am aware that the link to the Odyssey IRC Channel link does not work right now. I am going to fix it later.

It seems that Dragon Quest (Warrior) is getting back its full glory that it had before Final Fantasy. Dragon Quest VII has sold a lot more than any Final Fantasy title. So far, sales have reached over 4 million. A decline in interest in the Final Fantasy series? Perhaps...

The Odyssey page makes its official return today. Our host is still 50megs.. This site can be reached through http://odysmzx.cjb.net and http://odysmzx.50megs.com.

I, Raichu876, changed my nick to Ryohei. I hope enough people are aware of this.

Spring Break starts this week. Everyone should be able to get a lot of progress done, or have a 7 day break. :D

Does everyone like this new format? I hope so. Some links may not work for right now so e-mail me if you find any errors.

March 1, 2001 - Posted by Raichu876

Err... Stupid 50megs.com screwed with this web site for one last time. The Odyssey Group page is now hosted by eSmartStart.com. The link odysmzx.cjb.net and odysseymzx.cjb.net will be changed as soon as possible. The links on the side and above except for "Msg. Board" will not work until April 7, 2001 or when I feel it is ready.
